Tour Description

Overview

Karnataka which is the land of history culture and tradition along with natural beauty of the beaches and mist covered hilly heights. It is one of the most historical sate of India, it was the home of some of India's largest and most powerful dynasties, the state has across the centuries. ‘Discover Karnataka’ is well designed itinerary which gives you the chance to explore the beautiful destinations of the Deccan region, which is located between two mountain ranges- Eastern Ghats and the Western Ghats. Along with that you will also explore the Nagarhole National Park, which is located at the distance of about 90 kilometres from Mysore, the sanctuary was established in 1983, the Nagarhole National Park, also known as Rajiv Gandhi National Park, which is the home of leopard, tiger, elephant and over 250 species of birds.

During this tour you will explore Hyderabad Renowned as the City of Nawabs, it was founded in late 16thcenturies by Muhammad QuilShah. It is the capital of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The duration of the tour is nights and  days, covering the destinations such as Hyderabad, Gulbarga,Bijapur, Badami, Hampi, Chitradurga, Chikmagalur, Malpe, Coorg, Nagarhole, Mysore and Bangalore.

Itinerary

Day 1: Hyderabad (Arrival)(Sightseeing)

On your arrival at Hyderabad airport, meet our representative, after welcome, proceed to the hotel. Hyderabad Renowned as the City of Nawabs, Itis culturally rich city of India. It is the capital of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Check in at the hotel, after freshen up, and proceed to your tour by visiting the beautiful monument, Char Minar; the stunning Charminar is located in the old city. Built by Muhammad QuliQqutub shah in 1691, it is an imposing structure with 4 minarets. Char Minar is the oldest mosque in the Hyderabad.  

You then head to Mecca Mosque, the biggest Mosque in Hyderabad. The structure of the mosque is similar to that of Mecca Madina in Saudi Arabia. It was built by Muhammad QuliQutub Shah in 1617. It is one of the largest mosques in India.

Further, visit the QutaubShahi Tomb, which is one of the most glorious architectural of QutubShahi dynasty. After sightseeing, return back to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 2: Hyderabad(Sightseeing)

Today after breakfast, proceed to visit Birla temple, which is one of the most beautiful architecture which was built with South-Indian, Utkala and Rajasthan, three significant type of architectures, located at the height of up to 280 feet, which offers the panoramic view of the town.
 
Then proceed to visit Salarjung Museum, which houses the various historic artefacts, including the several Jade daggers belonging to Emperor Noor Jahan and Shah Jahan, Jahangir, and the wardrobe of Tipu Sultan. Then proceed for Golconda Fort, which is located about 11 kilometres away from Hyderabad. Which is one of the architectural wonders in Hyderabad.

Further, enjoy the boat ride at Hussain Sagar, then proceed Lumbini Gardens, enjoy the water shot up in sky, making a water screen. After sightseeing, return back to the hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3: Hyderabad-Bidar(By Road-44 Kilometres)-Gulbarga (By Road-114 Kilometres)(Sightseeing)

Post breakfast in the morning, leave by road for Gulbarga. It is one of the popular city in Karnataka. The awe-inspiring ruins of Gulbarga transcend appalling conditions in which the monuments are located. Gulbarga remained the seat of Bahmani Kingdom till about 1424, when the capital was shifted to Bidar.

En-route visit Bidar, it became home to the Bahmani kings only in 1429, when Ahmed Shah I decided to make it his capital. It is a hill-top city situated on the Deccan plateau in Karnataka. The town is popular for its 15th century Bidar Fort and the Bahmani tombs.

By afternoon, arrive in Gulbarga and check in at the hotel. After fresh and up, proceed to explore the Jama Masjid, built in the 15th century. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 4: Gulbarga-Bijapur (By Road-160 Kilometres)

Post breakfast, proceed to Bijapur by road. Bijapur derives its identity and character from the AdilShahi dynasty that ruled it for close to 200 years, ending with the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb’s conquest of Bijapur in 1686.

Upon arrival at Bijapur, check into the hotel. Take rest for a while, later proceed for a tour of Bijapur covering GolGumbaz and Ibrahim Roza. By evening, return back to the hotel for night stay.

Day 5: Bijapur-Badami (By Road-120 Kilometres)

After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Badami temples. On the way, visit Aihole which is a village, having historic temple complex. Upon arrival, check in to your pre booked hotel. After freshen up, Later, visit the Mahakuteshwara Temple, Northern Fort and Badami rock-cut caves. Stay overnight at hotel.

Day 6: Badami-Hampi (By Road-140 Kilometres)(Sightseeing)

Post breakfast, begin your one hour drive towards Hampi, situated within the ruins of the Vijayanagara Empire. This UNESCO world heritage site, is the remains of the largest empire in India’s history.

On the way, halt at Aihole, a tiny hamlet on the banks of the Malaprabha River. Other tourist places you will visit include Durga Temple, Ravalphadi Cave, the Lad Khan Temple and the Buddhist Temple.

Upon arrival at Hampi, check in to the hotel, then proceed to explore the remains of the kingdom that include Virupaksha Temple, UddanaVeerabhadra temple etc. Stay the night at hotel to enjoy a sumptuous dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Hampi(Sightseeing)

Post breakfast, proceed for full day guided excursion to explore three major temple complex- The Vittala Temple, the Virupaksha Temple and the King’s Palace. The evening is free at leisure. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 8: Hampi-Chitradurga (By Road-155 Kilometres)

Today morning have your breakfast, then leave by road for Chitradurga. It is located on the valley of the VedavatiRiver in Karnataka.

Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Rest for a while, Later, proceed for the sightseeing tour of KallinaKote Fort, which was built by the NayakPalegars. The fort features 19 gateways and 38 posterior entrances and enclosed by seven massive walls. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 9: Chitradurga-Chikmagalur (By Road-200 kms / 4 hrs)

Post breakfast in the morning, leave by road for Chikmagalur. It is a small and serene town boasting of hills, valleys, and the aroma of coffee floating in the misty air. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. In the evening, take a road trip to Belur to visit the famous Chennakeshava temple. Later, return back to Chikmagalur. Following a Nawabi style dinner, go to sleep.

Day 10: Chikmagalur-Malpe (By Road-250 Kilometres)

Post breakfast in the morning, leave by road for Malpe, it is the famous beach resort. En route, visit Halebid, it was theancient capital of the Hoysalas. Explore the Hoysaleswara Temple.

Later, leave by road for Malpe. It is the beautiful beach town, it is the popular for its natural port, which is an important port and fishing harbour of Karnataka.

Upon arrival, check in at the beach resort. Rest day is free at leisure. Overnight stay at the resort.

Day 11: Malpe-Coorg (By Road-250 Kilometres)

Post breakfast drive to Coorg. It is also known as Kodagu, located in the south-west part of Karnataka bordering Kerala. It is one of the most popular hill station of Karnataka, situated on the Western Ghats which is known for coffee and its ethnic warriors.

Once you reach there, you check- in at the hotel. Rest of the day at leisure, you can explore for the stunning surroundings of the town. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 12: Coorg-Nagarhole National Park (By Road-100 Kilometres)(Sightseeing)

Post breakfast, leave for the Nagarhole National Park, which is located at the distance of about 90 kilometres from Mysore, the sanctuary was established in 1983, the Nagarhole National Park, also known as Rajiv Gandhi National Park, which is the home of leopard, tiger, elephant and over 250 species of birds.

On reaching at Nagarhole, check-in at your pre-booked jungle lodge. After freshen up, enjoy a jeep safari in the jungle province. Stay overnight.

Day 13: Nagarhole-Mysore (By Road-90 Kilometres)(Sightseeing)

Today after breakfast, drive for Mysore, drive straight to Mysore. Once reach Mysore, check-in to your pre-booked hotel. Take rest for a while. Later, leave for a visit to the Mysore Maharaja Palace, also known as the Amba Vilas Palace - an Indo-Saracenic architectural style. Later, visit the Nandi or Bull Temple, located on the Chamundi hills. This temple is dedicated to Nandi, the vehicle of Lord Shiva. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 14: Mysore-Sharavanbelagola-Bangalore (By Road-145 Kilometres)(Sightseeing)

Today after having an early breakfast, proceed to Bangalore.  On the way visit Srirangapatna - the capital of Hyder Ali and his son Tipu Sultan. Visit Tipu's Palace that is now in ruins, Gumbaz - the burial chamber of Tipu Sultan, his father Haider Ali and mother Fatima Begum and lastly, Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, known as DariyaDaulat Palace.

Upon arrival in Bangalore, check in at the hotel. Rest for a while, Later proceed to visit here include The Bangalore Fort & Palace, VidhanSoudha and Lal Bagh. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day 15: Departure from Bangalore
